About our Foundation

The Abigail L. Longenecker Memorial Foundation provides funds to local nonprofit organizations for specific projects that benefit children.

All supported projects are through LOCAL organizations and 100% of contributions go to funded projects, not operating expenses!

Since 1998, the Foundation has contributed to over 50 projects involving 20 local nonprofit organizations and has distributed over $50,000 in funding. Past projects supported cover a large spectrum of need, including:

• Funding for two inner city after-school and self esteem programs for teens.
• Sponsorship of activities for children whose parents were recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
• Providing safety equipment for handicapped children attending a therapeutic activity program.
• Sponsoring programs at summer camp for disabled children.

The Abigail L. Longenecker Memorial Foundation is an exempt organization under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c) (3). It is also determined that The Abigail L. Longenecker Memorial Foundation is a private foundation within the meaning of section 509 (a) of the code.

Abby never had the opportunity to volunteer at Deb's House, but her spirit is still helping children who face challenges that children should never have to face.
